Sarma has vehemently denied these claims, asserting that they are fabricated and part of a larger conspiracy involving foreign influence. As the election approaches, both sides are gearing up for a legal battle, with Sarma announcing plans to sue Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera for defamation. Serious Accusations from Congress

The Congress party has leveled serious allegations against Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, the wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. During a press conference on Sunday, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera claimed that Riniki holds passports from three foreign countries in addition to India. Khera alleged that Riniki owns property in Dubai and has a company registered in Wyoming, USA, which was not disclosed in her election affidavit.

Himanta Biswa Sarma Responds

In response to these claims, Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter, stating that he has registered a company named 'GauravElizabeth786' in Wyoming. He sarcastically remarked that technology is not exclusive to Congress. Following the press conference, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma asserted that the passports shown by Congress were edited and not hers. She expressed disappointment that a national party spokesperson would not exercise caution.

Further Developments

Himanta dismissed all allegations and announced plans to file criminal and civil defamation lawsuits against Pawan Khera within 48 hours. In his post, he mentioned, 'We used the same toolkit that Congress used to create a fake company in my wife's name. We have also registered an LLP in Wyoming. Technology is not just in Congress's hands; we have it too.' He included a link to the official Wyoming government website, confirming that the company was registered on April 5.

Claims of Fraud and Foreign Influence

Himanta further alleged that the documents used by Congress against his wife were sourced from a social media group named 'Pakistanis in Ajman' and that her image was manipulated onto a lost passport of a Pakistani individual. He expressed concern that Congress might be receiving assistance from Pakistan, stating, 'This is not just a case of fraud; it is a crime against the nation.' He claimed that Pakistan is attempting to influence the Assam elections.

Denying the allegations of foreign companies, Himanta asserted that anyone can register a company in Wyoming using an international credit card. He added, 'We have also created a company in the name of Gaurav Gogoi and his wife, which is fake.'
