Assam CM Accuses Congress of Using Fake Documents in Passport Controversy
Serious Allegations by Assam's Chief Minister
On Monday, Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a press conference where he made significant allegations against the Congress party. He claimed that the documents related to his wife Rinki Bhuyan's passport controversy were fabricated using artificial intelligence by Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Pawan Khera. Sarma dismissed these documents as fraudulent and linked them to Pakistan.
Source of the Documents
Sarma stated that the origin of these documents was traced back to a Pakistani social media group. He pointed out that Gogoi and Khera conducted two press conferences, one in Guwahati and the other in Delhi. During their investigation, they discovered that the entire content of the press conferences was provided by a Pakistani social media group.
Unprecedented Media Attention from Pakistan
The Chief Minister noted that in the past ten days, Pakistani channels have aired at least 11 talk shows discussing the Assam elections, a phenomenon that has never occurred before. Each talk show concluded with the assertion that Congress should win.
Statements from CM Himanta
Sarma remarked, 'Yesterday, Pawan Khera and Gaurav Gogoi held two press conferences, one in Delhi and another in Guwahati. Typically, when you present a specific issue with fake documents to the public, it falls under IPC sections 420 and 468. Moreover, under the new BNS, there is a provision for correspondence. If these allegations are used with fake documents to influence election outcomes, the penalties are more severe, potentially leading to life imprisonment.'
FIR Filed by His Wife
He further mentioned, 'My wife filed an FIR yesterday, and I am confident that the police will register the case under the appropriate legal provisions and take necessary action. Our research indicated that the content of yesterday's press conference was entirely provided by a Pakistani social media group. Over the last ten days, Pakistani channels have conducted at least 11 talk shows regarding the Assam elections.'
Link to Pakistan Made Clear
The Chief Minister emphasized that this situation has never happened before, with every talk show suggesting that Congress should emerge victorious. The connection to Pakistan from yesterday's press conference has now become very evident, and he expressed confidence that law enforcement agencies would investigate this matter.
Allegations of Photo Manipulation
During the press conference, CM Sarma claimed that the original photo of his wife's passport had been altered. He stated that a genuine photo of a UAE passport was uploaded by a Pakistani individual on social media, and Congress had manipulated it using AI to change the details. He also asserted that a passport from Egypt was entirely fake, adding that a simple Google reverse search could reveal the truth.
