Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Kerala's Ruling LDF and BJP During Rally
Strong Critique of LDF and BJP
On Saturday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce attack on the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the BJP in Kerala. He accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of aligning with those who perpetrate violence against minorities in other parts of the country.
Allegations of Opportunism
While addressing a rally in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi stated, 'Today, it is evident that a connection has formed between the BJP, RSS, and the Left Front. There are leaders within the Left Front who are not opportunistic; they have dedicated years to their ideology. They now feel betrayed, saddened, and cheated.'
Accusations of Ideological Shift
He remarked that the Congress-led UDF previously fought against the Left Front based on ideology, but that has changed. In a humorous tone, he quipped, 'LDF stands for Left Democratic Front, but there is nothing left about it anymore. After the elections, there will be nothing left at all.'
Hidden Hands Allegation
Rahul further alleged that a 'hidden hand' is controlling the Left Front, stating, 'This hidden hand is communal. It does not respect the Constitution of India. It divides people and spreads hatred. Every individual in Kerala can see the connection between the BJP, RSS, and CPI(M).'
Criticism of Narendra Modi
He also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that while Modi speaks about temples and religion in other states, he remains silent on issues affecting Kerala. Referring to the Sabarimala gold case, he questioned, 'Modi attacks me daily, but why does he not confront the Chief Minister of Kerala and his family? When he visits Kerala, he forgets everything because he needs to support the LDF. The truth is, he knows that the LDF will never challenge him on a national level.'
Empowering Women
Addressing women, Rahul Gandhi emphasized, 'We are fighting these battles because we recognize that women are the backbone of Kerala. We want you to fulfill your dreams, travel wherever you wish, and achieve whatever you desire.'
Concerns for Minorities
He raised concerns about the attacks on minorities across the country, stating, 'Two nuns from here were attacked in Chhattisgarh. Churches were burned in Manipur. The Chief Minister is partnering with those responsible for these acts. The individuals attacking Muslims, Christians, and Sikhs are in partnership with the Chief Minister of Kerala.'
Commitment to Fight
Rahul Gandhi declared that he is personally fighting against the BJP and RSS. He mentioned facing attacks, legal challenges, and inquiries, but he affirmed that he will not back down.
