TMC Leader Abhishek Banerjee Issues Strong Warning to Pakistan Amid Election Rally
Abhishek Banerjee's Bold Statement at Rally
During a recent rally, Abhishek Banerjee, a prominent leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Member of Parliament, made a significant announcement regarding Pakistan. He declared, 'Once Mamata Banerjee and the India alliance come to power, we will enter their homes and eliminate them.' This statement was a direct response to a threat issued by Pakistan, which claimed it would target Kolkata.
In a recent statement, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that if a future conflict arises between India and Pakistan, their military would aim for Kolkata, threatening to destroy the city.
Response to Khawaja Asif's Threat
While addressing a campaign rally in Siliguri, Banerjee reacted to Asif's threats, stating, 'Just two days ago, Khawaja Asif mentioned that they would obliterate Kolkata. Our Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Defense Minister have remained silent. I have noted Khawaja Asif's name on a piece of paper. The day Mamata Banerjee and the India alliance form the government, we will invade their homes and take action against them.'
Further Remarks on Pakistan's Threat
Banerjee continued, 'While he sits in Pakistan threatening to attack Kolkata, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is busy campaigning in Cooch Behar, urging people to remove the Trinamool Congress.'

He also criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for their lack of response to Asif's threats, saying, 'Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh are silent. Shah labels us as Bangladeshis and Pakistanis daily, yet when Pakistan threatens Kolkata, he becomes a bystander.'
Khawaja Asif's Warning on Future Conflicts
On Sunday, Khawaja Asif stated that any future conflict with India would not be confined to border areas. Speaking in Sialkot, he claimed that if India attempted a false flag operation, Pakistan would retaliate by targeting Kolkata.
Asif also alleged, without providing evidence, that India might use its citizens or detained Pakistanis to carry out such operations. He emphasized that the next phase of conflict would extend beyond a limited geographical area, asserting, 'This time, the fight will not be restricted. We will invade their territory and attack them in their own homes.'
However, neither Defense Minister Rajnath Singh nor Home Minister Shah has commented on Asif's statements.
