Singer Anuradha Paudwal Responds to Backlash

Mumbai: Anuradha Paudwal, a celebrated singer and National Award winner, has spoken out regarding the controversy ignited by her comments on the Ram Mandir and the concept of 'Vishwaguru'.

In a recent Instagram post, she urged that discussions should not be misconstrued or sensationalized. Anuradha expressed her respect for her country and its leaders, asserting that every individual has the right to share their opinions in a respectful manner.

On Wednesday, she shared a heartfelt message stating, “Greetings to all my family, friends, and fans. I am grateful for the love and respect you have shown me for my work. I also hold deep love and respect for my nation and its leadership. Every citizen, including myself, recognizes the importance of education in our growth and leadership in the world. I will always advocate for this. We all have the right to express our views respectfully in this country.”

She added, “However, I strongly disapprove of conversations being taken out of context and sensationalized, which misrepresents the original tone. I do not support those videos and ask people not to promote such creators. This is not a clarification; rather, it is a reminder that no one should manipulate conversations for their own benefit.”

During her recent guest appearance on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Anuradha raised concerns about India's 'Vishwaguru' narrative, particularly questioning the state of the education system. She pointed out that while many discuss India's potential as a global leader, the closure of numerous schools raises doubts about the foundation necessary to achieve that ambition.

Anuradha reflected on her previous belief that India would become a Vishwaguru, stating that her views have shifted after witnessing the current circumstances. She remarked, “Not long ago, I too believed that India would emerge as a Vishwaguru. However, I now observe numerous developments that seem to contradict that vision. This nonsense must cease.”

Paudwal also addressed the alleged donation scam related to the Ram Mandir, stating that such reports, especially from places of deep faith, raise significant concerns. She emphasized that for India to truly aspire to be a Vishwaguru, it must first adhere to the values and principles that accompany that vision.

Furthermore, she pointed out the alarming trend of school closures across the nation, highlighting the critical issue of education.

Anuradha Paudwal's comments have ignited a lively debate on social media, with mixed reactions from the public.
